Athena West-Bivens

Hello Everyone. One of our Friends is in need of help. Athena West-Bivens has had to leave her job and this has put a big financial strain on she and her husband Elzie. She started out last year with blood clots in both her lungs and has had nothing but bad health since. Doctors have been unable to find out what is going on with her and she has suffered with this unknown illness now for several months. She has been to specialty MD's at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio. She has seen Oncology/Hematology, Immunology, Allergy specialist, Gastroenterology,  ENT, Vein Clinic and multiple trips to the ER. She has had two surgeries for staph infections. Test have included a CT Scan, Pet Scan and currently waiting on the result of a bone marrow biopsy. She has had blood transfusions, B-12 injections, IV iron infusions. She has no strength or balance and is now using a walker or wheelchair for mobility, She has had multiple falls with injuries. Please give if you can to help them get through this rough time.  Remember it could happen to any of us, I've been there myself.
