Athaliah's surgery and radiation treatment

Hello, and thank you for visiting this page. My name is Nikki Giles and I am assisting my friend Shaneka Kelly to raise funds for her daughter to have a large keloid removed from her left ear.

The surgery is to take place in a few weeks at Bustamante Hospital in Kingston, Jamaica. Following the surgery, she will need to undergo radiation treatment.

I am trying to help her reach her goal of 100,000JMD (approximately 875 CAD) to assist with the cost of treatment.

12 year old Athaliah Kelly pierced her ears in 2021 - a reward for gaining placement on the honor roll in both terms during grade 2. Keloids developed on both ears following the piercing.

Sugery and treatment in 2022 and 2023 were successful for the right ear, but unfortunately, the left hasn't responded to the steroid injections, Radiation will be required after this next surgery. The doctors will also do their best to reshape Athaliah's ear to look as did before. Athaliah has been troubled with this keloid for years, and It has taken an emotional toll on this beautiful young girl who is looking forward to its removal. Your assistance of any amount will help remove the financial barrier for her mother to ensure all is done to see the treatment through to the end.
