Update 10/29/2024: My sister has returned home. With the help from your generosity and family, we have raised enough funds to lay my sister to rest. Thank you for your support!!
Hello. I am Vanessa Begay, the youngest sister of Cassandra Dick. Cassandra is my oldest sister, one of four siblings. She passed on Saturday, October 19, 2024. in Phoenix, AZ. She leaves behind a tight-knit family that consists of....
- 2 daughters (21 and 19 years old)
- 1 granddaughter (5-months old)
- Parents
- 3 siblings (1 older brother & 2 younger sisters)
My sister was a loving and free-spirited person who always believed that laughter was the best medicine. She was a HUGE Raiders Fan, everything was Black/Silver with her. She enjoyed a wide range of music, family time, and napping. She recently began working in Phoenix, AZ, in which she was ineligible for any benefits. As of now, the state of AZ has not released her to be returned home. The funeral home we are working with has been diligently calling AZ for an update on her status. Due to this delay, we cannot finalize any arrangements and we were informed to raise at least $7,000. The goal for this fundraiser is set at $6,000, because we were able to pay for half of her casket.
My family and I are struggling with her sudden passing; it is taking a toll on us all, both emotionally and financially. I am reaching out to anyone who can help us raise the funds to bring her home and lay her to rest.
My family thanks you in advance for your consideration and donation. Virtual hugs to you all!!
