Update 2-6-2019
Hello All, We wanted to send a little update on my beautiful sister. She was able to leave the rehabilitation center and able to go home on Friday where she will continue to heal physically and emotionally as well as any outpatient therapy that is needed. Although she is home, she requires lots of rest and quiet time. We are so thankful for all of your wonderful prayers, community support and love. Our family is grateful for the amount of kindness that everyone has shown us. We don't know how we can ever say thank you to each and every one of you but we hope that you know how much you all mean to us!
Services for our beautiful Elena are as follows:
When: February 15, 2019
Where: Rosary/Mass will be at St. Jude Thaddeus Church Time: 10:00am
Address: 5712 Paradise Blvd. NW Albuquerque, NM 87114 (Per the family, we will not be having a reception after the service).
It is with tremendous sadness and very heavy hearts that we are sending this out. In one horrific moment our lives have changed forever. My sisters family Jason, Christine, Alicia, Floyd and Elena we're involved a terrible car accident on January 7th where many injuries we're sustained to each of them. Sadly and tragically we lost our Elena........my Elena. We can't understand why she is gone and why our family is dealing with this tragedy. We are in disbelief, and in shock. Elena was an inspiring sophomore at Cibola High School. She was a wonderful daughter, sister, niece, cousin, granddaughter and friend. Elena was a very beautiful young lady inside and out and had a vibrant personality that made her who she was. People would say she is one of a kind and she was. Now we sit here in a position we never thought we would be in. We had to say goodbye sooner than we thought and we're not ready. She was so incredible and touched so many peoples live’s and hearts. Elena was loved by so many. Their mom Christine is still in ICU with a brain injury fighting hard every day to get home. She has a long road ahead of her. Please pray for her. Alicia and Jason are both so strong and recovering from their injuries. Floyd is an aspiring Senior at Cibola. He had to undergo surgery for a broken jaw and will have his mouth wired shut for 6 weeks but with so much strength and bravery he has, will recover fully. This wonderful family needs your help. Medical costs, unexpected funeral expenses, and financial support for all the family to keep the household going while Christine recovers and Jason stays by her side in the hospital is needed to help the family and get Christine and Jason home. More importantly we need your prayers! Thank you to everyone who helps our family during this time of need. Any and all help is appreciated! God Bless!
