A cause we care about needs help

Once a year St Louis Past Students Association in the United States of America (SLOPSA USA) gather to raise funds to support the needs of our alma mater, St Louis Senior High School in Kumasi Ghana.  This year, the theme of our fundraiser is “Giving to Empower the Future Girl Child.”

SLSHS student dormitory capacity has maxed out due to an increase in the population index. This is expected to double in the next 10 years. Due to this desperate plight, SLOPSA USA is joining forces with other SLOPSANs both in Ghana and abroad to build a 600 bed capacity dormitory to help ease the congestion and thereby making the school a positive atmosphere conducive to learning. To date SLOPSA USA has donated $10,000.00 to the Dormitory Project.

 For the year 2019, it is our solemn goal to raise at least $100,000.00 for our dormitory project to ensure its completion by December 2020. The members of SLOPSA USA will do their part in this fundraising event scheduled for July 5th.  To be able to reach our goal this year, we need the support of others in making the dormitory project a reality and are also seeking the help of benevolent people/companies/churches to sponsor us in cash, kind or both.
