Kerala has been witnessing incessant rain, causing flooding and landslide. Till now, more than 100 people have lost their lives in the state in rain-related incidents.
Kerala is in the midst of an unprecedented flood havoc and the calamity has caused immeasurable misery & devastation.
Thousands of people have been put up in relief camps across Kerala, According to an early government assessment, 20,000 houses and nearly 6,000 miles of roads have been completely damaged, adding up to a total preliminary loss of almost $1 billion. These figures are likely to increase as the state braces for more rain in the coming days.
