a car for Capuchins in Tanzania
Donation protected
The Capuchin minor seminary in Moshi Tanzania has no working vehicle. They educate 200+ boys in grades 9-12 and they currently have no way to transport the boys. Their seminary school is on the slops of Mt. Kilimanjaro and it is very difficult to get to--especially during the rainy season. If one of the boys gets sick or injured they have no way to transport them to the hospital which is 60km away. This is more than an inconvenience, it is dangerous. I know the Capuchins very well....some of them are my former students from when I taught philosophy in Morogoro, Tanzania in the 1990's. I recently visited them in Moshi and they do such great work. Their school ranks in the top 5 nationally, but their facilities are in bad shape. They don't have much money, and the vehicle is really important. The picture of the last school bus they had. It hasn't run for 5 years.
