Help Richie recover from his stroke

Hi everyone,
On behalf of Richie and his parents,
we have been asked by many on how they can support during this time. I am a friend of Richie’s since childhood and I am creating this gofundme to help him and his parents.
As you may have already heard, on Saturday, November 26, 2022 our beloved brother and friend Richie (age 37) suffered a spontaneous stroke while rejoicing with friends and family at a campsite at Ocotillo Wells. Emergency services were immediately called. A helicopter promptly arrived and he was rushed to the hospital.
Richie had to undergo an emergent invasive surgical procedure called a Craniotomy where they removed part of his skull to stop the brain bleed. He has been intubated, placed on a ventilator & has been heavily sedated while the inflammation of his brain decreases and he becomes more stable.
As for now, time is our best friend while he heals.
Meanwhile, we are all coming together and are asking for donations to help him and his lovely mom & dad (Ernesto & Maria aka “Chata”).
Your donations will help cover emergency costs, surgery, medical expenses that have yet to come and will also aid in any other way that can benefit Richie and his family.
We can’t wait for our Brother and friend Richie to start being his jokester self again. Making us laugh as usual!

muchos nos han preguntado cómo es de qué pueden apoyar en este tiempo delicado. Yo y Richie somos amigos desde niños y estoy creando este gofundme para dar ayuda a Richie y a sus padres.
El sábado 26 de Noviembre 2022, nuestro querido hermano y amigo Richie (edad 37) sufrió un derrame cerebral espontáneo mientras pasaba tiempo regocijando con sus amigos y familia acampando en Ocotillo Wells. Inmediatamente se le llamó a emergencias y un helicóptero lo recogió y se lo llevó al hospital. A Richie se le tuvo que hacer una cirugía emergente llamada Craniotomia en la cual temporalmente le sacaron parte del cráneo para cesar el sangrado. Richie sigue intubado y en un ventilador y está completamente sedado mientras se recupera y se le baja la inflamación y la presión. Por ahorita, el tiempo es nuestro amigo mientras él se recupera.
Mientras tanto estamos pidiendo donaciones para ayudar a Richie a sus queridos padres Ernesto y Maria “Chata”. Sus donaciones ayudarán a cubrir gastos emergentes, cirugía, gastos médicos que aún hay por venir y cualquier otra cosa en la cual puede beneficiar a Richie y a sus padres.
