2 months ago, a Mum at Merryhills Primary school learned the tragic news of her husband passing away in a road traffic accident.

Throughout this brief story I am going to refer to her as 'Mum'.

Mum has a child in KS1, and another child under 18 months old. Her husband was the sole earner in their household.

Mum is trying to find work however is stuck finding a nursery for her child but due to her youngest being under two years old does not qualify for 15 free hours. She is doing all she can to find a way forward but at every turn is faced with another 'brick wall'.

To break this down as plainly as possible; this lady's life has been upturned. No income, no job, no child care and only one family member here in the UK.

I'm hoping and praying that our community spirit can come through in this time of need.

I don't know about anyone else, but we all have our struggles but this is a struggle no one should be faced with and, more importantly, should not go through this alone.

Please share this to as many people as possible to at least buy Mum some time; to ease the pressure of bills and finances, and to allow her to grieve without these stress and to be able focus on being a mum.

My heart breaks for Mum, and I hope we can all find it in our hearts to help; she is a Mum, a Wife and someone finding her way down the most painful path imaginable.
