Asylum for M&M

Hello and thank you for visiting our page! Pastor Elijah Kellogg and his wife Allison have served overseas and among unreached and endangered people groups in South East Asia since 2017. Over the past couple years, the country that the Kellogg's have been serving within has been quickly deterioating and devolving into mass conflict and chaos, after a military regime illegally retook power from the civilian government in 2021. The country stands consistently at the brink of collapse, with regional food, water, and power shortages. Worse still, the people are regularly harrased, displaced, detained, and even executed by the military for even the slightest gestures of protest or support for oppostion parties. Literally hundreds of thousands of refugees are scrambling within the country's borders and spilling over into other countries as they seek asylum from this oppressive regime and a new future in security and stability.

As many of you are already aware, the Kellogg's have been tirelessly working over the past several months to help several such asylum seekers escape their country, travel the globe, and seek asylum in America. Two ladies in particular, "M & M", have long-term relationships with Elijah and Allison, having worked together at the same non-profit student center in their homecountry. The Kellogg's were present for these women when the coup happened in 2021, and witnessed their bravery in voting for an opposition party, and then standing up against the military and publically protesting their illegal government takeover. Thus, M & M, among thousands others, are no longer safe in their homecountry as it currently stands. After a harrowing 6 WEEKS journey from their lands, across the world, and through numerous South and Central American countries, these two ladies are now finally registered with US Border Patrol and waiting in Mexico for their entry appointments.

While currently safe and patiently waiting (for what has now been over 3 weeks) for their appointments, this trip has taken a massive emotional and finacial toll on these ladies, as well as the Kellogg's as their supporters. Friends are seeing the drain on the Kellogg's and the ladies, and it's time to help them out. The Kellogg's can no longer sustain this work alone, and, as their community, we're now looking for finacial partners in this work of God for the freedom of these girls. The minimum goal we're looking for is $6,000, which will cover the remainder of the lady's stay in Mexico (especially if they have to endure a full 2-4 months of waiting), food, travel across the border, travel from their entry point to the Kellogg's residence (where they will live and work), and the first month or two of supplies/needs while transitioning into American life as an asylum seeker. To put the current financial ask into perspective, the Kellogg's have already spent 5x this amount just in getting these ladies to this point in the process, as well as helping many other refugees get into safer situations. To get a person from where they were to where the ladies are at now is over $10,000 EACH. Thus, any additional funds raised will be glady received to help the Kellogg's recoup these costs and help the ladies with their futures.
