I’m Asya, and your donation is my only hope to survive.
I live in Gaza with my family of seven. Since October 2023, our lives have been torn apart by relentless bombing, targeted attacks, forced evacuations, and hunger.
We’ve lost everything—our home, our safety, our friends, and even the little things that once made life bearable.
Before the war, I was an independent young woman working in digital marketing on Upwork. I wrote, volunteered, and helped children in UNRWA schools.

Today, I am fighting to keep my family alive alongside my mother, two brothers, two sisters, and my sick father.
Since December 31, 2023, our home was hit at dawn by three rockets, completely destroying our block. We fled south to Al-Mawassi and ended up sleeping in the streets. For days, I had no clean water, ate spoiled food, and even shared my meals with stray cats.
We stayed in a single room with 30 strangers, including newborn babies, sharing one bathroom we could only use once a day. We lost everything that gave us a sense of safety. I even lost my little cat, who was like a family member to me.
There were moments I felt utterly hopeless, even considering ending my life—especially when I was trapped near the Egyptian border with no way to cross.
My mother and I became the only providers for the family after my father became too sick and detained to work.

Our family today:
My mother: Collects firewood daily to cook and searches for anything we can eat.

My brothers: One is 21, a mechanical engineer; the other 23, a graphic designer. Both have been denied the chance to complete their university education.

My twin sisters, 16: Stopped school after their schools were destroyed, but they dream of continuing their education and attending university.
My father: A heart patient, detained since the start of the war, relying on us for daily care and medical needs.

We urgently need your help to survive, find safety, and rebuild our lives.
Your donation can provide:
- Food and clean drinking water
- Medical care and daily essentials for my father and family
- Safe shelter, emergency tents, and transport for sudden displacement
- A chance to start a new life in safety when the borders open
- Support for my siblings to continue their education
Note: Donations are converted to Norwegian Krone (NOK), where $1 = 10 NOK. You can donate in any currency.
How your support will help us survive and eventually evacuate:
- Travel arrangements and accommodation after leaving Gaza: $1,000 per person × 6 = $6,000
- Living, healthcare, and education costs: $15,000
- Food and clean water for 7 family members
- Medical care for my sick father and family
- Safe shelter + tent + transport + essential supplies for sudden displacement
- Support for my siblings’ education (school/university fees, books)
- Border crossing coordination: $6,000 per person × 6 + support for my father = $36,000
Any extra funds will support our resettlement in the destination country and GoFundMe fees.
Every donation, no matter the size, gives my family hope and a chance to survive. Your geneosity can help us reclaim our lives and dream of a safe future.
Thank you for giving us hope.
