How to Create a Kick-Ass LIVER

Donation protected
My husband Carlos and I, like many of you, just learned our good friend David Tyreman has STAGE-4 Liver Disease and needs a liver transplant. When we met David over 12 years ago, he had just given one of the best on-stage presentations I had ever heard. His comeback story of being down to his last twenty dollars and then building a world-class successful company was just amazing! I was captivated the entire time and told my husband, “I want to someday do what he is doing…and I did! I just had to introduce myself and tell him how his authenticity truly inspired me to step into my own greatness. We met later that day, David and his husband Theo and Carlos and I…it was like we had been friends since grade school. We got along so well and laughed so hard our stomachs hurt.

Life gets in the way, and we lost touch later over the years though every so often we’d reconnect on social media. That’s when I found out that David was in bad shape. He lost so much weight that I didn’t recognize him at first. I wanted to drive to Vegas and just be there for him and we did get to do that and tell him how much we love and care for him. Most importantly, I wanted to help him. So that’s what we’re doing!

David's book: WORLD FAMOUS: How to Create a Kick-Ass Brand, has helped so many people, so we decided to call this Go Fund Me “How to Create a Kick-Ass Liver” as that’s what David needs. He needs a kick-ass liver to live a long life.

We’ve met tons of people inspired by David and If you know him the way we do you’ll know he’s exceptional, a master on stage and a powerhouse of knowledge, experience, and know-how so beautifully blended with warmth, humor, and love. He’s also crazy, daring, sarcastic, naughty, and inspiring.

Seeing David in person was shocking. He doesn’t look anything like I remember him. He’s skinny! Seriously though…his liver disease has taken a toll on his body. He has no energy which is the opposite of who he was. He hasn’t been able to work much for over a year and despite insurance, liver disease is expensive. He’s on the transplant wait list and needs our help now which is why I’ve organized this Go Fund Me for him.

Helping David is a no-brainer, Carlos and I asked Theo if it was ok and he agreed, so please join us, and please share this. If you have ever watched David speak, read his book, enjoyed his advice or just want to help another great human, then please contribute and help us raise funds to keep him alive.

The specifics: The Mayo Institute created a liver disease scoring system (The MELD Score) to grade liver disease health. David’s MELD score is 16. His doctors want him to undergo ‘TIPS’ (like a stent for the liver), due to the serious side effects of his disease. It’s also called ‘End-Stage’ because of the many side effects associated with it. David doesn’t drink alcohol, consumes an ultra-low sodium diet, and must eat every two hours as he can no longer regulate energy storage and output. Without a transplant, David must undergo a weekly treatment called paracentesis that takes several days of recovery so finding the energy to work is non-existent and the stress of paying medical bills is debilitating.

We love David and we don’t want to see him struggle to pay bills as he awaits a liver transplant. Please join us in getting this life-saving treatment for him.

Thank You. Lisa

The money will be used for the following: Liver ‘TIPS’ treatment in San Francisco, Insured treatment additional patient expenses, Weekly Home care (pre-liver transplant), Physical therapy, Special dietary requirements, Cost of living, and Contingency expenses.
