ASU ACHA Club Hockey Fundraiser

About Us

ACHA hockey is a student funded club at Arizona State University which currently puts 3 teams on the ice at the ACHA D1, D2, and D3 levels every school year. With ASU having an NCAA D1 hockey team, this leaves the ACHA Club hockey teams with little funding from the University. All student athletes in our program pay team fees which go towards costs like ice times for practices and games, bus trips, plane tickets, food on the road, hotels, coaches’ salaries, referees, and on and off ice team apparel. Without student athletes paying team fees, we are unable to put teams on the ice. We are seeking to raise $15,000 to help student athletes cover with team fees and avoid an increase in fees for each player this season. Any sort of financial donation would be a big help for the program.

Why donate to our program?

ASU ACHA hockey is run through Sparky’s KidZ, which is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. A donation to Sparky’s KidZ can be written off on 990 tax forms.

History of ACHA Hockey at ASU

Since 1991 when the ACHA was established, ASU has participated across multiple divisions across the ACHA. Before ASU got granted an NCAA D1 hockey team in 2015, they only competed in the ACHA. After an ACHA National Championship in 2014, the program announced its promotion up to the NCAA. And now even with having an NCAA D1 team on campus we have still been able to put together 3 strong club teams on the ice at each division. All 3 of our teams have been ranked in the top 20 in their respective divisions for the past 3 seasons. While having the goal, every year to send all 3 teams to the national tournament.
