Astro Jelly Dogs go to Arkansas
This group of talented, smart, creative and hard-working students have been offered a chance to compete in an international robotics competition at The University of Arkansas through First Lego League this May. This is quite an honor. This team will be the ONE team to represent Maryland in this three day event.
First Lego League is an international organization for students in 4th - 8th grade. Students design an innovative solution to a current program, as well as, build and program a robot from scratch.
This team won first place mechanical robot design in the state. They also received a perfect score demonstrating the core values: inspiration, teamwork and gracious professionalism.
The team is super excited to accept this offer and challenge. They will be competing with some the best teams in the USA and from 10 foreign countries. With this honor comes a cost the parents were not expecting. Please help us give this opportunity for these AMAZING kids.
