Hello all,

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved grandmother, Astrid, in the Philippines. Her departure has left a void that is difficult to comprehend, and we find ourselves faced with the daunting task of arranging her funeral and memorial services.

Lola Astrid was beloved by her community and family. She was a pillar of strength, love, and wisdom for our family. Her warmth touched the lives of everyone around her, and her loss is deeply felt by all who knew her.

She came to America with my Lolo Kiko with dreams to create a better life for their family and that they did. Lolo Kiko passed away in 2013 from cancer in the Philippines. Considering her age and her wish to be near him, she moved back to the Philippines September 2023.

On February 14th, her health declined rapidly and unexpectedly. Because the loss of our beloved Astrid came about so quickly, we are asking for support to help alleviate the financial burden associated with laying her to rest.

Any donations will be greatly appreciated and would go directly to Lola Astrid’s funeral and hospital expenses and our family’s flight expenses.
