Asthma Awareness Month Fundraiser 2024

My name is Grace Pyatt and I am fundraising for Asthma Canada in honour of Asthma Awareness Month. I am a Professional Indoor Volleyball player and currently am playing out a contract in the North of France before I return home to Canada. I am someone who suffers from Asthma and has experienced some severely uncontrolled periods and attacks, that nearly took sport out of my life.

I think about all the amazing things sport has brought to my life and if it hadn't of been for Asthma care and education then I wouldn't of been able to have as long and successful of a career as I have had. I think about all the championships, national team and professional experiences that never would of happened for me if Asthma had shortened my career.

I got the chance to fall back in love with my sport in a way I never thought I would again and my hope is to make this donation so other people can feel empowered in their Asthma journey both with care and knowledge!!

This Asthma Awareness Month feels special to me as it is the same month I finish my professional contract in France and jsut a few years ago I never could of imagined myself still competing let alone overseas. If you feel inclined to donate all funds will go directly to Asthma Canada!
