May 20th, Midland, MI and the surrounding areas were flooded when multiple dams were breached. Thousands evacuated as flood waters caused massive destruction in Sanford, Midland, and the Gladwin area. Karri and Robert Allen were among those who have experienced massive property damage. The Allen family has lost major appliances such as washer, dryer, refrigerator, furnace and hot water heater. Also lost was furniture and clothing, with property damage, repairs, and loss of over $100,000. Many personal items were lost forever, but to double the frustration, insurance has refused any type of coverage. While we do not expect to achieve the total amount, anything we can do to help would be graciously appreciated. Please help us rally around our friends in their time of need, as they attempt to rebuild after the flood.
Update: My name is James K, and the Allens are my close friends, so I put this together as a way to support them in their time of need.
