On Sunday morning, April 22, our lives got turned upside down, when our dad; a son, a brother, an uncle, a good friend, and drinking buddy, a husband and a father got taken to hospital. The ambulance rushed him to the hospital with a brain hemerage that was so large, he had to get airlifted to Kingston General Hospital, where he currently is. He has been in their care for a week now. He has been a strong fighter this whole week, with brain surgery, breathing tubes, in and out of consciousness, trying to talk to us. He’s been getting slowly better until yesterday he got a fever..a fever he can’t break. There’s an infection in his brain, he’s unresponsive, and they had to insert the breathing tubes again because he can’t breathe on his own. They are suggesting we come and see him today (April, 29)
My mother is now a single mother, with no income except her own, trying to pay bills and get groceries when she can.
We’re not looking for a lot; every little bit counts. It’s just difficult as KGH is so far away from us, and we want to be with him as much as we possibly can. Oscar needs his family more than ever.
Keep our dad, son, brother, uncle, husband, and good friend, Oscar, in your prayers please.
