REESHA is a non-profit serving displaced families in Afghanistan after the country's fall in August 2021. Learn more about REESHA here: https://www.reesha-international.org
These families, primarily women and children, fled their provincial homes and sought refuge in Kabul before the current regime seized the capital. Following the collapse of the government, these families are now stranded on the streets without food or shelter. As winter approaches in Afghanistan, the temperature drops well below zero, and in the freezing cold, millions of these families face a new crisis, putting their lives at risk once again.
We started REESHA to serve these vulnerable women, children, and the elderly who have no food or shelter living on the streets of Kabul. We have already made an immediate impact in the short time we have been on the ground in Afghanistan. Here’s what we’ve done so far:
- We have fed hot meals to more than 6000 displaced families.
- We are providing long-term support for more than seven families.
- We are helping evacuate at-risk families.
- We have created jobs and economic opportunities.
But with your help we can do more!
How Can You Help?
$250 will provide the average family of 6 with food, transportation, and one month’s rent. This will allow them to get off the streets of Kabul and transition successfully to their local communities where they can start to rebuild their lives. Our goal is to assist 105 families that are on our waitlist who are currently suffering from hunger and are in need of shelter. Please consider sponsoring a family or co-sponsoring a family for a smaller amount and make an immediate impact on these lives today!
Thank you!
