Seeking Your Support After an Unimaginable Loss
Donation protected
This is supremely humbling to be asking for help and this is certainly not a position I have ever been in before...
As many of you know, I recently lost my wife, Jaelin. It’s difficult to express just how deeply her passing has affected me and how hard the past few years have been. Words can’t capture the depth of my grief, and I'm overwhelmed with the details involved in managing her affairs, but I’m facing each day as it comes, exhausted but determined to heal.
Over the past two years, I devoted much of my energy to caregiving—quietly stepping back from work and other aspects of life to support Jaelin through her toughest times.
Now, I’m asking for your support as I step back to rest, reflect, and rebuild.
I’ve started a private GoFundMe with a $30,000 goal to help cover funeral and medical expenses, easing the financial strain so I can focus on my own healing.
If you’re in a position to contribute, your generosity would mean the world to me. If you’re unable to donate, a thoughtful message or a shared memory of Jaelin would be just as meaningful.
I’ve always tried to live by the “Give First” ethos, and now I’m learning to receive with the same open heart.
Thank you for your kindness and support. I do not know when I may return to the community I love so much, at least in a work capacity, but I imagine that day will come at some point.
Your support, in any form, makes a real difference. While this is a private Go Fund Me- if there is someone you know that should be aware of this page, please share it, but I am not putting it on Linkedin or other social media.
Remember to tell your loved ones how you feel about them every day and pursue the things you care most about, now, not later. Life is short.
Warmly,
Dave
