Hi my name is Rebecca. I am raising funds to helps my older brother Adam to get a recliner/assisted chair and any extra adaptations/furnishings for when he gets a bungalow. Unfortunately, due to the social housing system this can take sometime, and he will be discharged to live downstairs at my mam and dads with only an a normal bed.not even a hospital bed.

For those who don't know his story...

On june 16th 2022,Adam was admitted to north tees hospital unable to walk. After a painful six weeks at north Tees Adam was finally transferred to James cook after the horrendous treatment he received. At one point he was told it was his mental health and he just had to get up and try and walk. After several months of different treatments, physio and tests, Adam has been left wheelchair bound and unable to live as independent as he once was. Consultants from around the globe are still investigating the cause/diagnosis as he is such a rare case,but in the meantime has been giving a potential diagnosis of NeuromyelitisOptica and transverse myelitis. This has taken 11 month to receive this and will still be under the care of James cook and Liverpool hospital until he gets a final diagnosis and treatment plan. Due to the current system of social housing Adam may be waiting months for a bungalow so we are trying to help him live at home as comfortable as he can. We are trying to raise money to get an assited chair as this can cost over £1000 for what he needs. Thankyou all in advance and reading. If you can't donate please share ❤️
