Insha'Allah, I set up this GoFundMe for my dear Muslim sister/friend, Safiya Griggs in NC. I want to thank you for taking the time to read Safiya's story.
At age 76, she is in need of our generous donations, Insha'Allah, to help care for herself and her mother, Ms. Maggielena, who is 92 years old, Alhamdulillah. About 5 years ago, living alone, her mom's health began deteriorating, which led to heart surgery and other serious illnesses.
Alhamdulillah, after making sacrifices and saving money, Safiya was able to remodel her home and her mom came there to live in 2019. Safiya became her caregiver and basically helped nurse her back to good health. Allah-u-Akbar.
However, about a year later, Safiya was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease and her mom became her caregiver! Masha'Allah. Now, in 2025 both of these ladies are in need of constant round the clock care. Alhamdulillah, they both moved to an Assisted Living Facility that keeps the two of them together, but they still need our financial help to pay the fees until Medicaid kicks in, Insha'Allah. They need our help immediately!!!
