On April 11th, I took my mother to the hospital because I noticed she wasn't eating and was losing weight rapidly. After a series of calls with doctors (as I was unable to be by her side) I was informed that her body had been taken over by metastatic cancer and the prognosis was terminal. On Thursday, April 23, I got the call that she had transitioned.
In the midst of COVID-19, a service is not feasible and I am grieving privately with my chosen and extended family, as I am an only child of a single mother. Unfortunately, my mother did not have burial insurance and I will need to come out of pocket for her expenses. Thanks to a family member, I am able to cremate my mother at a nominal cost, as to minimize my financial burden.
This fundraiser is to cover cremation and memorial costs for my Mother, Miss Sharon Williams. I appreciate your time and prayers during this very rough period.
Love Always,
Nikki.
