Assistance with End of Life Costs for John Gill

Hi my name is Jake Gill. As some of you may know , my dad John Gill had been battling lung cancer for the last year. The cancer then progressed to stage 4 and metastasized to his other lung and spine. He was started on Hospice care just over a month ago. The Wednesday before Thanksgiving my dad complained of abdominal pain that made him unable to stand or walk. The pain would not lessen with his pain medications and was sent to the Emergency Department. Imaging was completed quickly once he got to the ED and he was found to have a perforated bowel that caused him to go septic. He was too sick to provide him with any other option other than comfort. He passed away at 6:42AM on Thanksgiving. With losing his job earlier this year due to the cancer and making a minimal amount in social security, my dad was unable to save back any money for when he did pass. He did not qualify for life insurance and had no savings. My sister Amber, myself, and our spouses are having to pay the cost for cremation, a head stone, opening and closing of his grave, obituary, and the death certificate. We are not currently able to sell any of his assets because he did not have a Will. We are kindly asking for any help to give our dad the final resting place he deserves. We appreciate all of you for reaching out to us and praying for our families. This has been a very hard time, but we take solace in knowing that he is no longer suffering and in pain.
