Assistance Towards $7.8K in Vet Bills for Loki and Kuzco

Hi there, my name’s Jade and I’m fundraising for some assistance towards vet bills for my two sweet boys - Loki (cat), and Kuzco (gsd).

In the last 3 months, two of my pets got sick. At the beginning of March, Kuzco started experiencing small symptoms that got very severe very quickly. On my birthday - March 3, he was perfectly ok. By March 24 he was gone - after many vet visits and tests, it was determined that he had cancer, and I made the very difficult decision to put him down at only 6 years old.

His death has impacted my cats a lot, specifically Loki who was particularly attached to Kuzco. The stress from losing Kuzco very likely contributed to the complete urinary blockage Loki had not too long after Kuzco’s passing. After 3 nights in the hospital, Loki came back home. It’s now been two weeks since then and he now has two ear infections, a UTI, and his liver enzymes are very high. His treatment is still ongoing, but his most recent visit on 06/06 cost $1338.

Altogether, between both animals, I’ve paid approximately $3200 up front and another $4600 that I had to finance (for Loki’s hospital stay) since March 15. Bringing the total to $7,800 in vet bills within three months.

The reason I’m asking for assistance is because I had ACL reconstruction surgery in January which put me out of full-time work (unpaid) for 12 weeks. This set me back a lot financially. Almost immediately after I returned to work, Kuzco’s health issues started. I’ve since spent about 70% of my income since I’ve been back to work on vet bills. I’ve been extremely burnt out working as hard as I possibly can to pay off these bills, and keep myself afloat. But I’ve had to use all of my savings because of the time I had to spend off of work.

Any assistance at all would be so greatly appreciated, and would go towards paying off the loan I had to use for Loki’s surgery (which has 29% interest), and to my credit card which I used to pay for most of the other vet bills.
