Mike and Janet Adkins have been significantly impacted by a colossal wildfire on their small holding in Kenya. On Friday the 10th of February, the fire blew across the plains near Naivasha and burned the Adkins' small farm, called Kiruma. The farm has been lovingly restored over the past decade, from a degraded, overgrazed and deforested dust-patch, to a thriving healthy environment, with a tree nursery that was supplying trees to restore other areas of Kenya as well. Overnight, a decade of investment and restoration was wiped out, including all of the tools, workshop, personal items, and staff quarters essential for the running of the farm. We are fundraising to help Mike and Janet Adkins re-build and restore the farm, so that they can once again begin to use the farm to help others. Anything you can donate will help towards this goal.
