Medical alert.
The cat is out of the bag… So it’s time to let my circle know.
In May, I noticed an abnormal bulge on the right side of my throat. After being examined by my PCP, I was sent to an oncologist and several other gifted professionals to determine the cause.
After biopsy, CT, PET, and blood testing, I received a diagnosis of Oropharyngeal cancer in my neck and lymph nodes.
This has created obvious hardships emotionally and financially. I have completed my first 7-week round of chemotherapy and radiation treatment.
I am now in a holding pattern of hydration and healing before we go back to the testing later this month.
My concerns are real, and as much as I pondered about this route, the co-pays, deductibles, and additional funds required have become overwhelming.
I am hopeful with the assistance of my circle of friends and family that I can reach a goal of $7,500 to relieve me of some of the medical expense burdens I’ve incurred and the additional ones that I’m destined to incur during the retesting which will take place shortly.
As of 9/10/25 my insurance has been billed $176K with more bills outstanding.
If you can donate, please know that I will be honored and forever grateful for your generosity.
Well-wishing and passing on my page to others will be gratefully taken into my heart as well.
I obviously know that money can be tight, but my hopes are high that I’ll be blessed.
Thank you to all of the specialists on my team and to all of the staff that does all the hard work in trying to get through this emotional and physically draining first stage of my treatment.
i don’t want to be a picture at the next reunion so I promise the fight will go on and this will be just part of my story not the end of it.
