I'm reaching out today with a heavy heart to share a difficult situation my mother is facing. For those who know her, you understand how deeply she has devoted her life to healthcare since she was just 17 years old, caring for others with unwavering compassion. Even after retiring, she stepped into the role of caregiver for my recently deceased stepdad, showing incredible strength during a challenging time.

Just last week, she was beginning to find her footing again, ready to embrace life anew. However, she recently fell victim to a heartbreaking scam, which the LAPD refers to as "theft by trickery." In simpler terms, she was taken advantage of in a PayPal scam that has left her without the last of her funds from my stepdad's life insurance payout and her savings—over $18,000. Chase Bank has informed us that funds recovery is not possible, and the LAPD has explained that these scams are often perpetrated by individuals overseas, making them difficult to trace.

My mother deserves peace of mind after everything she has endured. I am reaching out to you all in hopes of raising funds to help her regain some stability during this incredibly challenging time.
