Respectfully request assistance to assist with personal expenses related to the funeral of my father, Wilfredo Mendoza Picardo

My father was a proud man but generous one. He prided himself if in his desire to help others but dogged in his resistance to ask for help from others. On 03JAN2024 at time 0127 in New Era General Hospital in Quezon City Philippines, my father passed away.

The hospital staff worked tirelessly for over an hour while my family drove to see him. On the hours before his death he fought and was in pain. But on his deathbed he appeared at peace.

Our family is doing our best to take care of his expenses but my trip to the Philippines was meant to be a vacation.

I am currently serving in the World's Finest Navy as an Electronics Technician and take pride in serving my fellow countrymen and strive to be an honorable ambassador that earns respect of our allies and enemies. My intention was to visit the Philippines and spend time with friends and family so his passing, as most people would agree was unexpected.

This request does not come at a great time for all of us, so I am simply asking for a little extra cash for my own personal expenses while I am here. I understand there are other provisions the military provides so I don't take your donations lightly. I appreciate the fact you even took the time to read this message.

My father would not like that I am asking random strangers for help, nor do I feel anything but embarrassment for asking. But I thank you if you do.
