Assistance for Timothy's Unexpected Passing

Firstly, the overwhelming support and love we've received since my dad's passing has been a powerful reminder of the man he was—kind, caring, and deeply connected to so many. Thank you all so much.

Though there is no good time to lose a parent, this could not have come at a trickier time for me. While some expenses from his unexpected death will be covered by Veterans Affairs, the majority of costs will fall directly on my plate.

To take care of his belongings, vacate his apartment, manage and file the required paperwork, manage and file even more paperwork, and return his remains back home, and more, it will take two additional round trip flights to London. All of those tasks also come with a variety of fees and expenses, and I have already come out of pocket for the first round of flights.

Tackling what feels like an endless list of tasks has left me unable to work most of May and some of June — a time I was preparing to move with the end of my current lease on May 31st. With the limited support from the VA all reimbursed after the fact, I’m asking for some help now, as I navigate through this situation day by day.

My Hero, and Father Timothy Deal, will be laid to rest at the Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH at a date yet to be determined. If you’d like to be updated on the date of the service/memorial please reach out (otherwise I will post on social media).
