Assistance for the Taylor - Capone Family

Hi, my name is Joyce, and I am assisting with fundraising for Mark and Lauren and their children.

On May 16, Mark was helping a friend in his shop. There was a fire/explosion; Mark was burned on 30% of his body and is currently in the Burn ICU at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

Lauren and Mark are not married, although they share children and have built a life together. Unfortunately, because they are not married, the state will not reimburse Lauren's time off work. Since Lauren has recently started a new job, she has not accrued any paid time off. Her workplace is exceptional in allowing her to take time off; however, it will be unpaid time off for the foreseeable future. Mark is the most amazing stay-at-home dad, so they depend on her income to support the family.

Lauren is staying in Seattle to be close to him. Thankfully the children are safe and with extended family. It is challenging for the kids to be separated from mom and dad.

Besides anticipated medical expenses, household costs and childcare expenses will be significant.
