Assistance for the Family of Officer Hidalgo

Thank you so much for finding your way to the gofundme page for the Hildalgo Family.

This page was created to help offset the enormous medical burden the family has incurred as a result of Officer Carlos Hidalgo contracting Covid-19.  

Over the Christmas holidays the entire Hidalgo family was diagnosed with Covid-19. As most of the family’s health began to improve, on January 1st, Officer Hidalgo’s health declined. He was admitted to North Oaks Medical Center with an extremely high fever and low oxygen saturation.  Officer Hidalgo was diagnosed with COVID Pneumonia. On January 3rd, his condition improved and he was moved to the ICU Stepdown Unit hoping to be discharged on January 6th. Overnight, however, his condition took a turn for the worse. His oxygen saturation dropped severely and his doctors decided it was time to intubate him and put him on a ventilator.  He was then moved back to the ICU.

As of January 11th, Officer Hidalgo remains in extremely critical condition.

The funds raised by this page will be used to assist with medical bills associated with his condition as well as other expenses that would otherwise be paid for by Officer Hidalgo’s wages, including, but not limited to living expenses, groceries and childcare.
