I am Casey Tapia and I am starting the go fund me account to raise money for my Sister-in-law Lucy, my bother-in-law Marco and their girls.
Marco has been very sick in the hospital and is unable to work at this time. Lucy has been at the hospital with him as much as possible but has to go back to work since she is the only source of income for their family. Any money donated to the Avalos family will go to pay for any medical bills they may recieve from Marco being in the hospital, or for Lucy to help with the cost of everyday living for her and the girls since she is the only one working at this time. Any monetary help is greatly apperciated as well as prayers and loving thoughts for the family. Thank you for all the love and support.
Updates from Lucy:
Marco has viral meningal-encephalitis. This is day 10 of him being in the hospital. As of yesterday, the doctors stated he was improving little by little, but he seemed deteriorated this morning and began having seizures. He is now sedated to stop the seizures and is using breathing support. He is going to get an MRI and spinal tap today. Please continue to keep him in your thoughts and prayers.
Based on the MRI, the doctors found additional inflammation in the brain. The doctors determined that he needs a higher level of medical attention. He is going to be transferred to Kaiser in Redwood City within a few hours.

Marco ha estado muy enfermo en el hospital y no puede trabajar en este momento. Lucerito ha estado en el hospital con él los mas posible, pero tiene que volver a trabajar ya que es la única fuente de ingresos para su familia. Marco tiene viral meningal-encefalitis. Este es el día 10 de él estar en el hospital. A partir de ayer, los médicos indicaron que estaba mejorando poco a poco, pero parecía deterioraron esta mañana y comenzó a tener convulsiones. Ahora está sedado para detener las convulsiones y está utilizando soporte respiratorio. Él se va a poner una resonancia magnética y punción lumbar en la actualidad. Por favor, de mantenerlo en sus oraciones y pensamientos.
Sobre la base de la resonancia magnética, los médicos encontraron inflamación adicional en el cerebro. Los médicos determinaron que necesita un mayor nivel de atención médica. Él va a ser transferido a Kaiser en Redwood City en unas pocas horas.
