The effects of the coronavirus are far reaching, and every industry if feeling them.  The hospitality field is no exception.  The very reason for our existence is what you're being told to avoid.  The people you love to interact with at your favorite restaurants do what they do because they love people, and they love to bring people happiness.  That is the very definition of Hospitality.  

Unfortunately it is the hard working teams behind your favorite restaurants that get hurt the most.  Governor Northam has mandated no more than 10 people inside a restaurant at any given time.  This effectively shuts us down, as no restaurant can operate with fewer than 10 dining guests.  By not mandating a full shut down, we will not be eligible for any federal assistance when the time comes.  

As a restaurant and a small business we operate on painfully thin margins.  We have closed our dining room and bar, and will continue to offer curbside takeout  for as long as we can.  This will provide a small percentage of the funds needed to pay our staff, but is far from what they deserve.  

If you feel you can give anything, please know that myself and our staff are eternally grateful.  We hope this thing blows over quickly, and we look forward to welcoming you back into our beloved Ahso Restaurant.
