Assistance for Silvana during a serious medical situation

Hello, I am a former lecturer at San Diego State University in the Social Work program and I am asking for help in raising funds for a good friend and former student at SDSU, Silvana Younan. I recently learned that Silvana has received the news that she has breast cancer and that she will need major surgery very soon. Silvana is the main support of her three children and her biggest fear at this time is that during her period off work for her surgery and recovery she will not be able to meet her household expenses, and in particular rent payments. I am thus hoping that we can raise funds to help her through this very difficult time by providing a financial cushion for household expenses.
