Hello fellow salseros! We are all aware of the crisis, not just here in L.A., but all over the world, due to the coronavirus. I know many musicians, dance instructors and DJs in our salsa community are struggling right now having lost most, if not all, of their income due to the clubs being shutdown and festivals and concerts being cancelled or postponed. I wish I could reach out and help all of them, but I cannot.

That being said, I’m hoping to help my friend Robert Rodriguez, better known to all of us as Super DJ Robby. I have known Robby for over 20 years and he is a very, very dear friend of mine and my family. I also know he is a friend to you’all and that he brings as much joy to you with his music as he does to me! I know he is in need of assistance and I also know that he is too proud to ask for it so although I was going to give him money to help him out, I know what I give him will not be enough. My hope in putting this together, is to help raise enough money to help get Robby through this trying time until we are able to enjoy his music while dancing our nights away on the dance floor. In the meantime, he is doing his best to keep us entertained on Facebook Live while we are doing our part and staying inside to keep this virus contained until we can get back to our normal way of life…dancing!!! Wepa!

I know many of you don’t know me, but I want you to know that I am not benefitting monetarily from this in any way, shape or form. There will be no money coming my way…everything will be going to Robby.

Please help Super DJ Robby if you can…NO PRESSURE…and stay safe!!! Chao for now…until I see you on the dance floor…
