Hello all,
My name is Kevin and I have started this fundraiser for my best friend Michael Swirko. Many of you know him as Swirko, and I don't think many Bostonians can think of me without thinking of Swirko as well.
Anyways, he has fallen on some rough times due to the COVID -19 pandemic, as flight attendants were recently furloughed due to the government's failure to pass a second stimulus bill. To make matters worse, he found out today that for some reason his unemployment claim was denied. These funds will be used for bills, rent, food, and any other living or general expenses he might incur while trying to figure out what to do in this horrible situation.
I am hoping to support my friend in this time of need, as he has done for me over the last 10 years. He's been there for me through countless break-ups, my darkest times where I didn't see any hope in the world, and supported me and my move back to San Diego. Not only did he support that, but he moved with me! Talk about a best friend. Didn't want me to be alone, so he tagged along. I am hoping this will help repay him and show how thankful for his friendship and to have met him one of the first weeks of college 10 years ago.
Here'sa snippet of a birthday post and some pictures of us, to show you how close we really are and our outrageous friendship:
"I remember meeting you like it was yesterday. I was walking down the hall of the 3rd floor of White hall, and saw it. Saw something so beautiful. Two xboxes, two Halo 4's, and two nerds. I knew I must befriend you to get to your systems. But little did I know I would be blessed with a friendship that will last the ages. Thanks for always having my back, arguing about the stupidest shit at 3am, and committing to living in my pool house when I am rich and own a mansion. We are only 25 years away from that my friend. Enjoy your 24th birthday. It's useless."
