Assistance for Lorrie after accident
Any one who knows Lorrie knows that she loves well and is fiercely independent. She is always the first to help when help is needed! Her fall on January 6th has humbled her and caused her, by doctor orders, to be non-weight bearing, confined to the the bed, and unable to work until late February at the earliest. She has used all of her vacation time and her short term disability is shy of 40% of her monthly income. Her fall caused a broken fibula and torn ligaments in her right leg. This accident also forced her to put in a wheel chair ramp for the walker and knee scooter. (Because crawling in and out of the house is not recommended )
We are thankful for any financial help as she is looking at about 3-4 weeks with no income at the least. The medical bills have already started coming in, although she has health insurance there are still significant out of pocket expenses. So many people have offered different things from a hospital bed to walker to a meal here and there and Lorrie is thankful for every bit of help. Continued prayers for good health, patience and full speedy healing are most appreciated!
