Sixteen year old Josh is a promising young athlete that was training for another round of tennis nationals for the end of June. On April 23, 2018 he was assaulted while jogging in Saskatoon, it is now featured on crime stoppers Saskatoon (link below).
Since the attack he has been in and out of ICU as complications surfaced. Specialists were flown in to determine the cause of his condition and the extent of his injuries. In addition to PTSD from the attack, Josh sustained a severe neck injury that has compromised important arteries and nerves that regulate his heart. Because of this his heart stops and he faints at anytime, causing the need for constant supervision and care. Him and his family need our help as costs are piling up. Josh is currently in hospital. Him and his mom are being airlifted to Edmonton for care with the paediatric cardiologists.
There has been a large financial burden on his family, his mom Coralie has had to take extended medical leave from work to care for him. There has been $400 alone in hospital parking, sitters for Joshes siblings, psychiatric assessments and care, medication and treatments, in addition to meals in hospital, and now travel and accommodations in addition to the regulars costs of his siblings at home.
Any donation is appreciated as it will help Josh and his family through this difficult time.
Thank you! #TeamJosh
