Assistance for Eric Powers

Eric Powers has been suffering with a variety of health issues for many years...Stomach cancer, esophageal cancer, congestive heart failure, bad discs in his back to name a few...Currently he is dealing with pneumonia, Mycobacterium Avium (a respiratory infection that has rendered his right lung useless) and blood clot in his lungs...He has been in and out of the hospital numerous times and will soon be receiving Hospice care at home....Eric's doctors say he has 6-12 months to live in the condition he is in...He weighs around 100 lbs now and hasn't been able to continue to receive chemotherapy or other therapies...Eric has worked as a farmer in the past even thru some of his illnesses but he hasn't been able to work at all since before Thanksgiving last year... He has been in a lot of pain and needs assistance with daily tasks..
    I spoke with Eric today and he is very appreciative of all of the help and support that folks have offered...He has been working to get some medical bills met thru Medicaid but was told it may take 90 days to get started...During this time he also has other expenses such as rent, phone, food, clothes etc.
