Assistance for Dave Mencarelli

Hi, my name is Hailey and I'm creating this go fund me for my uncle, Dave Mencarelli. My uncle would never ask for help but has unfortunately now found himself in a dire situation, to no fault of his own. My uncle suffers from very serious complications from type 1 diabetes, such as severe diabetic neuropathy. The neuropathy has caused quite an extreme loss of fine motor skills in his hands and feet. This has led to a drastic decrease in his quality of life as he is unable to do simple daily tasks such as button up shirts and pants, open food packages, type or write. He is numb and unable to feel his feet up to his shins which has caused difficulty walking and has put him in a position of being a daily fall risk. He also must use a walking aid such as a cane or walker. In addition to the disabilities from the diabetes, he suffers from severe bipolar disorder, depression and anxiety which has only worsened with the extreme decline in his physical health. My uncle now finds himself in a position where he is unable to work and provide an income for himself due to these disabilities. The donations we are asking for would help cover basic life expenses for him while he is waiting for his disability income to be approved.

As so many of you know, he is the first one to step up and help when a friend is in need. My uncle is so fortunate to have such a loving and strong support system and we thank each and every one you for your kindness and generosity.
