On my way to a rehearsal my friend and I were on the freeway when we got into an accident. A car two ahead of me slammed on its breaks causing the car in front of me to stop and because of the sun setting, the glare from the freeway signs hindered my sight and I couldn’t see ahead of me in time to hit my breaks quickly enough.
my friend and I are luckily okay, but I can’t afford to fix my car and I don’t have insurance currently because it lapsed when I chose my rent over my insurance.
the past three years I’ve been in a constant state of fight or flight. I work two jobs, almost eighty hours a week, and I still am scraping by each month between my car, my rent, and my health; that doesn’t even include groceries which I also often have to decide against.
The woman I hit was so kind and understanding, only caring for my friend's and my wellbeing and has decided not to bring her insurance or the police into this, but any help that you can give me so I can fix her car and my own would mean the world to me.
