Assistance For Ahmed and the Mattar Family
Donation protected
Ahmed Mattar attended Eleanor Roosevelt High School in Greenbelt, Maryland as an exchange student during the school year 2022-2023. He touched many lives while he studied at Eleanor Roosevelt High School. At the end of the school year, Ahmed returned home to Gaza. As the Israeli war in Gaza began, Ahmed's former classmates and friends became very concerned about him and his family.
Ahmed has informed us that he and his family had to flee Gaza City to the southern city of Rafah. Ahmed and his family are struggling emotionally, financially and are in constant physical danger. Thankfully, he has a phone that he is able to communicate with friends and previous host families outside of Gaza. It is our hopes that we can raise money to help Ahmed and his family find food and security. Currently, an outside non-profit organization is attempting to secure visas for the Mattar family in order for them to be able to leave Gaza and to come to the United States. If this happens, Ahmed and his family will have to find financial assistance to help with travel needs. Please consider donating to help the Mattar Family.
Thank you.
