Assistance Dog for Piper

My name is Piper, and I am raising money for an assistance dog.

I'm delighted that I've been accepted onto a charity programme that provides assistance dogs. The charity, Autism Dogs, works with autistic people like me. They will provide me with an assitance dog trained to support my specific needs, and they will also train me as a handler, to help me to work well with my dog. Autism Dogs will also subsidise the cost of providing and training my dog, which means my target of £17,000 will cover the subsidised cost of my assistance dog, plus travel and accommodation for me and my parents when we go to training, because the Autism Dogs centre is a long way from my home.

Autism Dogs has already changed my life by connecting me with other assistance dog handlers, and I can’t wait for that to continue with your help. I'm grateful for the money which has already been donated, because I was able to use it to pay the charity a deposit for my future dog. Now I just need to raise the rest of the money!
