Help Quincy’s Parents
Donation protected
On November 13th my family and I were devastated to experience a parent’s worst nightmare. We lost our son Quincy Emanuel Barnes to gun violence. There are no words that I can use to adequately express the heaviness and pain that has settled into our bodies and spirit since that fateful night. Quincy’s personality was addictive and his impact was felt deeply within his family and classmates. Quincy had a great sense of humor and loved to hang out with his friends. Quincy was well-loved by his family and his many friends, he will be sorely missed. At this time, Quincy’s killer is still at large, we are hoping that someone will step forward and provide the information that will allow the police to arrest the individual responsible for his murder. We never thought our family would end up being personally affected by senseless gun violence. We are living in a society where our children aren’t safe doing the things that children should be able to do safely. Quincy was gunned down in broad daylight on the basketball court in our neighborhood less than a mile from my home. No parent ever expects to bury their child, which leaves many unprepared financially to peacefully and properly lay their child to rest. This unexpected loss has left us dealing with the costs of burying our son. We are so grateful for any help that you could give in this time of grief. I have comfort in knowing that God has his hands around me and my Family and we will be able to lay my baby boy to rest properly.
