Zachary and Savannah woke up on September 2 to surprise news -- that this baby boy that they had waited and prayed so long for would finally be here. They were so excited to get to meet him (although scared that he was so early at 23 weeks). This baby boy that they had waited for and dreamed of for so long would finally be here. But what should have been the happiest day of their lives turned into the saddest, as little Lucas Ezekiel, born in the morning, was taken home to heaven later that evening.

Zachary and Savannah have been surrounded by the love of their family and friends. So many people have reached out, wanting to do something to help. Zack and Savvie are very strong and do not want to ask for anything, so, with their permission, I am asking on their behalf.

Zack and Savvie's greatest needs right now are for assistance with funeral expenses, medical expenses for mom and baby, and for assistance with bills in the next few weeks until Savvie is released by her doctors to go back to work.
