My mother, Virginia Emma Bishop-Pombo, was the strongest woman I know. She struggled with a years-long disability that we would later find out was undiagnosed Multiple Sclerosis. Five days a week, my mother would latch up her Canadian crutches and take a 1.5-hour subway ride to and from work. When the MS really took its toll, and she would fall trying to get in and out of the subway, they finally moved her closer. Sadly, MS took her from us at a young age, and without insurance and my reduced income, we are asking for your help for my mother's funeral. My mother leaves behind a devoted son, his wife, her only sister, and two amazing nephews of her brother who passed last year. We are also taking this time to get a tombstone for her so that my family can rest together marked.
