Assist with Vance's Final Farewell
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Robert. I'm fundraising to help my mom pay for funeral expenses for my brother Vance who we lost on Friday, 7/19/2024. We will be using the funds to pay for cremation, burial, and any unexpected costs. Vance was not married and didn't have any kids. Vance was someone that was always there for his friends and family. Vance had a big heart and was always telling some kind of corny joke that would make you laugh. Vance was the one you could call in the middle of the night for help. He was always helping neighbors with yard work and snow removal. Vance was so willing to help others that he would even volunteer his brothers to do things for others, and there were times that we were not happy about it. He would say, 'Come on, we can get this done. They need our help.' Those that knew Vance knew that he had been battling with demons for a while. The last year was pretty tough on him, and the more I find out, the more I realize that as hard as it was to deal with Vance at times, it was the pain, anxiety, and demons he was dealing with. Even up to his last days and all the pain he was going through, he got up and made sure mom had her breakfast, lunch, and dinner. In all his pain and unhappiness, he would go out to get her chocolate milk or Pepsi when she wanted some. When my grandkids would go to see mom, Vance would come upstairs and play with them. He would take them for a walk and he felt the need to give them something, whether it be a movie or some kind of treat, and again the corny jokes. The girls would just laugh and look at him weird. I'm saddened that Vance went through this and kept it to himself as he didn't want his mom to worry about him. I am understanding that this battle Vance was fighting was also the cause of all his anger and what made him hard to deal with at times. It hurts us to know that he went through this alone.
I want to thank everyone that has taken the time to read about Vance. I would like to thank you in advance for any donations and all the condolences. I understand if you can't donate, times can be hard. I would appreciate it if you could share this page to get it out to his friends that I have missed. I would also love for friends and family to share some memories of Vance. Again, thank you all. We will have a Celebration of Life and will post details in the near future.
Remember to hug and tell your loved ones you love them.
