For those of you who know me know that despite sustaining a spinal injury over 35 years ago I have always strived to make the most of a difficult situation. That being said over 2 weeks ago in route to referee wheelchair basketball in Montreal my Subaru Outback broke down. As a result I had to pay for towing and a taxi to Canadian Tire where it remains. In addition, in order to referee at the tournament and return home to Syracuse I had to pay for bus and taxi. After a thorough investigation by my insurance company it was determined that it broke down due to wear and tear (Outback is a 2014). The repairs needed amount to over $4500 USD in addition, I will need to pay for transportation back to Cornwall Ontario. In the meantime I've rented a car in order to continue to work substitute teaching and umpiring. All things considered things could be much worse. However, unfortunately due to this predicament I'm asking for much needed financial assistance please.
