Assist with Uncovered Emphysema COPD Costs
Donation protected
Emphysema COPD is an despicable disease. Unfortunately there is no cure. Medicare is a godsend as it pays for most of my medical expenses and respite. However it doesn’t cover everything and I’ve gotten behind on other expenses. Early March I was forced to face the fact that I could no longer work so that income is now gone. Please help. Thank you for your time and caring. It is so very much appreciated.
Time line:
In 2019 I was diagnosed with COPD (emphysema, acute bronchitis, and asthma).
October 22 I fell (tripped on oxygen cord) and shattered my right shoulder. Was in the hospital for a week and then onto a rehab facility until mid December.
In 2023 I landed in the hospital 4 times unable to breathe.
In 2024 another 2 times in hospital for breathing issues.
2025 so far no hospital.
My son has been taking care of me this entire time with a quarterly 5 day respite and zero days off. He doesn't have much help. What a horrible schedule! We have to make changes to our lifestyle which is (quite frankly) already low key. We plan to make decisions no later than July and we'll keep you posted. Thank you for caring.
